Drop Rating
The exceptionally high drop rating (6’5’’) of the 7530
G2 is one reason this hand-held computer is an essential component of a smoothly running cold storage facility. Even in freezing temperatures, the
7530 G2 remains intact and functioning after multiple drops to cold concrete.
"Drop rating" refers to the number of feet from which a device can fall to concrete without suffering damage or malfunctioning. A hand-held computer with a drop rating of 5’ can withstand falling 5 feet to concrete.
Specifications for a device may state that it can fall 5’ to concrete 26 times without suffering damage. This does not mean that the device will break on the 27th fall. It means only that it was tested to meet the standard of 26 drops to concrete.
